I researched HDD recovery companies to death before settling on Lazarus for my recovery needs. What I liked was their simple pricing structure. I'd read too many horror stories of companies giving a 'guide price' and then the actual bill being much higher. The booking process was simple, and they'd started the recovery the day my HDD arrived with them! They kept me informed and updated throughout the entire process and recovered all my data from the dead drive, turning it around in approximately 3 weeks. Fantastic service and I'm delighted with the outcome - obviously I hope to never have to use Lazarus again (backup backup backup!) but should I need to, I won't be going anywhere else. Thanks to Laura, John and the team - if anyone requires data recovery services, I highly recommended Lazarus.

I had to arrange the recovery of an internal laptop drive for a friend who (I later learned) had spilled liquid on the computer and then used a hairdryer to try and bring the drive back to life. She didn't hold out much hope for it, but after sending the drive off to Lazarus I received a message within the hour of arrival saying they would conduct their first pass recovery test (the cheapest, which it failed), quickly followed by the second pass test (considerably more expensive, also failed). They were finally obliged to go to their most assiduous recovery process, and within a few days I had the drive back, a full recovery having been accomplished. I chose them because their fixed prices were competitive and their website projected an honesty and clarity about the process which was reassuring. The contact was also rapid, open and empathetic, and while I realised the whole process could take a long time, I was over the moon to have the drive back within a week. Hope to never have to use them again, but they would be a first call if I did!

Big thanks to Lazarus Data Recovery for saving the vast majority of data from the failed hard drive in my laptop which I had removed, taken apart, lost the manufaturers label (which is very important for identifying what donor parts are compatible etc) and generally 'butchered' having followed a 'Youtube' tutorial on how to fix a hardrive head. Against all the odds; John, Laura and the engineer managed to use some guess work on their advanced plus service, fit a head from a donor device and recovered all but a handful of small and unimportant files. I can't recommend Lazarus highly enough to anyone who needs a data recovery service. (I definitely don't recommend the Youtube tutorials that make this out to be an easy task that can be done from home!!).

I am most grateful to John and the Lazarus team for retrieving precious photos and memories that I'd lost on a hard drive that was malfunctioning. Having extensively researched the internet for suppliers and seen previous reviews left, I was delighted at just how competitively priced Lazarus is. Some competitors charge as much as *eight* times more. Having spoken to John, it was pleasing to hear his belief of how data recovery should be available to everyone. I was pleasantly surprised that having sent my damaged hard drive off on a Monday and expecting a two-week turnaround, I received my lost data before the weekend began - magic! Lazarus is very much a professional set-up: A clearly laid out charging structure with options to adapt to what you want (who organises the post each way? who provides the replacement hard drive? - it's all covered); regular status update notifications; a courtesy call to explain the outcome and answer any queries I had. A must-have contact for anyone despairing how to access their lost data again. For the price and reassurance, it's just not worth bothering with recovery software (which, in my experience, rarely works...). Save yourself the time and repeated disappointment and get these guys on the job - you won't regret it.

Had a hard disk fail with all my kids baby photos on! I had taken the drive else where with no joy so thought all was lost. Lazarus managed to recover all the data. A client had 2 hard drives fail simultaneously with some valuable data and memories on both. Unfortunately the drives had failed in such a way that required extensive work including replacing the heads of the hard drives. Lazarus kept me up to date throughout the process and after several weeks all the data was recovered successfully. These guys are superstars and I will not hesitate to use them again.
