Excellent service from Steven Roskin and Fenella Corteen. I actually tracked Steven down when he moved firms and am so glad I did. This will be my third conveyance with him as a buyer and a seller and I wouldn’t use any other solicitor in London. Fenella Corteen is also excellent, together they make a great team!

This review reflects on Naheed Taj a Family law solicitor and NOT the firm Lawrence Stephens. I appointed Naheed Taj Head of Family to represent me during divorce over 2 years ago. As of yet I'm still at the beginning of my divorce proceedings. As she and her colleague have been moving from firm to firm I've been following the circus in the hope I can forward my case through the courts. I've been paying for her services ie prep for financial submission (Form E) which was prepared but not exchanged 2 years ago. I feel it ties me in with her as I've paid for work on my case so far. On receiving Acknowledgement of Service I was told it had been submitted to the courts, 6 months later I was served by hand with a divorce petition again. The AoS was not returned to the courts incurring me more legal costs for serving. As of yet this STILL hasn't been returned. During Child arrangement hearing docs not submitted on time. I was charged for the preparation of a statement that was filed late. After making an official complaint to her we came to mutual arrangement for costs incurred due to errors made as way of making up for work I'd payed for ie Form E, before charging for work. Since then she has again moved firm and refuses to honour her agreement. I've just had enough. I regret the day I appointed her. To do this to me during this time has been unforgivable. By not returning docs on time,she has made the relationship worse between my ex whilst we were using the courts to decide about the children. I've been unable to move on with my life due to INCOMPETENCE. She should be 'struck off' the words of her former employer and I agree. Please BE AWARE of her ability to communicate personally,which hits the spot while being vulnerable. I'll be making formal complaints with the SRA and legal ombudsman now while I look for new representation.

I have used Lawrence Stephens both for the purchase of my first flat a couple of years ago and subsequently for the sale and onward purchase of a new house. Glen Bayliss and his team have supported us on both occasions and frankly, we'll never use anyone else. We received the contact of Lawrence Stephens via a friend a couple of years ago. Whilst as a first time buyer I was looking at every penny, I'm very glad I went with Glen. Whilst there are marginally cheaper service providers, I have seen how horrendous those other low-cost practices can be based on friends' experience. Glen has always very helpful throughout the process, especially as a first time buyer, providing all the guidance and answers to any queries I had. Based on the good support provided in my first purchase, we decided on using Glen's services for the subsequent sale and onwards purchase. Unfortunately we had a very challenging onward purchase where eventually it was found that there was ongoing subsidence, leading to the purchase falling through. Throughout the hellish and uncertain experience Glen was the only service provider that always had our back, provided good perspectives and made sure we approached things cautiously. When we have found the willpower to look for a new house again, we'll be sure to reach out to Glen and co for his services.
