I'm afraid not to good. Helpful staff. But ESSEX council red tape. Your not allowed to take garden waste in a van. And you have to wonder why theres a chronic abundance of people fly tipping.. If you can't take your waste there. It will only be a thing that becomes more apparent in the future. Sorry.

The recycling center is very efficient and conveniently placed. For the service I would absolutely give the place 5 stars. However, I must say I am not sure where the other reviewers were finding the polite staff. The one person that I have dealt with every time I have been there has proven to be aggressive, rude and pedantic. His points are always valid but he delivers them in an awful way, for example instead of stopping me and saying "sorry you can't go in at the moment" he yells "oi" and then motions slowly with his finger as if playing out a stereotype. Instead of telling me "Ah, sorry we just closed up a bit early as it's Friday" he says "My watch says 5. I have a home to go to" despite the google opening hours still displaying open for 5 more minutes (not that it matters but I had two cardboard boxes to throw in the bin that would have taken about 2 seconds to throw away - these were clearly visible). I understand his points and, of course, didn't kick up a fuss but at the same time there is just no need to be so rude to someone simply looking to try and recycle. It's hard enough to get to this place whilst its open with the long queues and working hours falling directly during mine, I would at least like to not be condescended to when I do manage to get there. I am sure that there is no shortage of polite friendly workers at this place, I would recommend putting one of them as the public face and not the current person who appears to have a general distain for all that surrounds him.
