    Laureum have been providing care for my mother since 2019. The care package was originally set for 2 visits/day but after a series of falls, the package was extended to 4 visits/day. I don’t know how we would have coped without the professionalism and kindness of all of her carers. Their daily visits are something my mother looks forward to. We feel very fortunate that Laureum are looking after my 93 year old mother.

    Awful awful company. They absolutely should lose their KCC contract. From day one we had issues with them. Lots of complaints to social services about the complete lack of care given over almost a two year period. Lots of promises of improvements from management that never lasted more than a few days. I’ve watched carers on CCTV that we’re supposed to be on 30 minute calls in and out in 14 minutes, 7 minutes of which was spent looking at their phone. Fresh food was ordered weekly by me and constantly not used properly and left to go rotten in the fridge and then not disposed of, this was a regular complaint. Photos attached is three weeks worth of salad not even used and left to go rotten. Excuse after excuse given by management. All they wanted to cook was Microwave meals, quick and easy. We discovered medication not issued. Another complaint to social services. Management concocted a story that it was refused. Funny how this was never mentioned to us at the time and there was no record of refusal in the attendance book, just made up by the management as they know it would be hard to disprove. Carers seen in the property not wearing masks or gloves etc during the height of COVID. Surprise surprise my elderly mother who was housebound tested positive. Despite it being on the care plan, carers failed to change clothing (underwear) daily and my elderly mother was left in the same clothes for days. Thankfully we don’t have to use them anymore. They aren’t even worth one star. If you get a choice don’t go with Lauriem they provide a very substandard level of care. I think a lot of the 5 star reviews are staff by the looks of the names.

    This company’s carer’s are for the most part excellent, however the office staff are awful. It would help if they stopped lying when speaking to service users, and their families , and making impossible demands on their carers when booking them in for calls e.g. booking a carer in for a 45 minute, and then 15 minutes later book them to start the next call, which is a 20 minute car drive. Absolutely disgusting. If I had my way Lauriem would have their Social Services contact taken off them, and all the office staff should be sacked. All the management of this company care about is lining their own pockets at the expense of the most vulnerable people in society, and they couldn’t care less about the people that they are supposed to be providing a service to.
