The most amazing magical experience for the kids if you do not want to spend a fortune going to the actual lapland. Staff are always friendly. Only thing i will say is be prepared to pay for overpriced average food.

I was expecting so much for the price we paid (£700 for 2 adults and 2 children) for the few hours we were there, but was disappointed. This has more than doubled from when my NCT friends took their babies 6 years ago, so they tell me. It was a memorable experience and a nice day out, dont get me wrong, but definitely not worth that kind of money. You could have a long weekend in Centerparcs for that! Myself and my husband were disappointed with "the look" of Father Christmas too, he was tiny, the children looked nearly the same size as him in the photo! Its a lovely concept though.

Don’t go on the first weekend as you’ll be a guinea pig for their poorly trained hospitality and sales staff. Don’t expect them to do much other than dismiss issues. I suffered a nasty scold to my hand after I knocked my 4 year old disabled daughter’s babycino (which thankfully I was carrying and had been given to her without a lid) over onto the palm of my hand. It was boiling hot milk!! I had to pretend to my twin 4 year olds that I wasn’t in severe pain for the rest of the trip and afterwards to avoid ruining their experience. When I complained after I got home they agreed to retrain the staff to avoid it happening again but didn’t care that I was still injured or that it had been their fault. They’ve since had to refund me for the photo package I purchased at the end of the event as I wasn’t told that the photos would be deleted automatically after a month (i.e. before Christmas) or that I needed to read the receipt to find this out (with an injured hand and no knowledge of having to read extra exclusions on it, I had just stuffed it in my wallet for dealing with later). So I’ve lost the ‘memories’ they spend ages hyping up during the visit. They have provided the refund for that but still not apologised for the awful experience after getting burnt. The Father Christmas is amazing. The acting is very good. My 4 year old twins loved it, and I enjoyed it a lot until the Elven Village in the middle where I was injured. They get 2 stars not 1 because of this. If all had gone well it would have been amazing, but they don’t seem to care that they caused significant pain to a paying visitor. It cost a huge amount of money to be left in pain. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if the boiling milk had fallen on my 4 year old daughter, who’d been given her babycino, and not on me. Really scary thought.

Really enjoyed this magical day out, we booked back in march and have been looking forward to it since then. The attention to detail is amazing and the work that goes in to making the magic feel so real is incredible. We took our two kids aged 5 and 9 and they both had an amazing time. When we first arrived we were checked in at the desk by really friendly staff and then taken through the different parts of the tour, we went to a wodland glen first and watched the elves, next to make the toys with the elves and finally to Mrs Claus bakery to decorate biscuits, all these activities are done as a huskies or reindeer group, to be honest they are a bit rushed and we had to spend time explaining to our kids what was going on. After this structured part of the day you get an hour and half in the elven village. In the elven village you can ice skate (skates are available to hire for free). There's food and snacks and hot choclates in the stalls around the village, there's an elf post office for your letter to Santa and a toy and sweet shop to explore. There are also huskies to have photo ops but we found the queue for this too long. The elven village is really beautiful and we would have liked a bit longer to explore there. As with all these kinds of events the food and drinks were expensive. Everyone gets a time slot to see Santa and so we headed down for ours at the correct time, there was a bit of a wait but the queue kept moving and there were lots of stops for photo ops or to see reindeers which kept the kids entertained. The reindeer looked happy and cared for and had a decent size enclosure, allthough I'd say it could have been bigger. Santa claus - I've never seen such a brilliant Santa, he was so friendly and had such a calm and warm presence about him, he used all the memorable information we had provided and blew my kids minds, it was amazing and for all of my family the best part of the day. After Santa there's a shop to buy more toys ( expensive ones at that, just incase you've not quite emptied your bank account) and pick up your printed picture. When getting your pictures you are discreetly handed a toy that your child has made earlier in the day ready to be left from Santa on Christmas morning. I joined this queue for the pictures while my partner distracted the kids choosing a souvenir, I think if you were a solo adult this could be a bit tricky, however the team in the shop are helpful so it wouldn't be a problem. All in all we had an absolutely amazing day, it was beautiful - everywhere you look there is attention to detail and it all feels lovingly put together. It's very expensive, but the kids do get a lot, not just the toy and the bell, but the magic that comes with the whole day. Tickets are a lot of money but I get the production and running costs to keep the experience feeling so 'real'. Both my kids got a toy from Santa when we visited, and the secret toy to put under the tree, we also got a family photo included in the entry price. We found all the staff so friendly and helpful. All in all we left feeling like the kids had had a brilliant experience and that's all we wanted, it turns out magic is real - you just have to pay for it ;) I'd highly recommend going here, even if you only go once your kids will never forget it.
