Upon arrival we were greeted by Nigel who showed us around the site and answered any questions we had. The site itself was even better than we had pictured, the space is large and very private with stunning views. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from the owners’ two horses over the fence. Although very much an outdoors camping/glamping experience, we were provided with everything we needed and more including kitchen utensils, towels, bedding and wood for the wonderful wood fired hot tub (which we also enjoyed very much!). The outdoor shower was lovely and warm and honestly, we want one ourselves. The cabin itself was cosy and very comfortable. Overall an experience that exceeded our expectations. Lovely hosts, brilliant site and lots of lovely walks to go on. We’ll be back!

Just returned from a wonderful Easter Break at Hop Cottage. The cottage was much bigger than expected with exceptionally comfy beds! The surroundings were peaceful with a great sense of privacy despite having other guests nearby. Enjoyed by all six guests (including two children) and one large Dog. The exclusive Hot Tub with a view over the lake and the Farm shop down the road were firm favourites.

We stayed here a while back for a family Christmas gathering. Location was wonderful, cottage had everything we needed and hot tub and views were special. Our hosts were kind, flexible and made some difficult circumstances for us during covid much easier to manage. We really appreciate that. Would highly recommend.

Stayed in the Rose hut for 2 nights, and it was fantastic. Such a beautiful location, and the hut had everything you could possibly need. We have stayed in other shepherd's huts, which have charged a much higher rate, for a much lower standard. Rose hut is beautifully designed with the little kitchen area, which has everything you'd ever need for making your own meals. The bathroom is fantastic too and only a few steps from the hut. Didn't use the log burner as the heater provided kept the hut at a nice temperature. We definitely plan on coming back in the summer and making the most of the bbq and decking area. And best of all, a private hot tub looking over the lake with beautiful views. Watching the sunset from the hot tub is definitely a highlight. Excellent hosts who greeted us on our arrival and showed us around. They even provided a guide before our visit with videos on getting to the hut and how to use the hot tub, bed, etc, and lots of information regarding the area for places to eat or visit. For someone who worries about everything, this was a fantastic detail to include.

We have just returned from a truly wonderful couple of days at Hop Cottage. With 4 children and our lovely labrador Ed we needed plenty of space and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect from the lovely layout of the cottage to the wonderful views from the large conservatory. We had some lovely walks in the surrounding area - just stunning- and spent some lovely evenings relaxing in the hot tub. We cannot wait to return and wished that we could stay for longer. Thank you Nigel and Wendy

Just heavenly! Such a peaceful , beautiful location. The lake is so nice and being able to sit in your own hot tub and watch the sunset was amazing. The shepherds hut is very well designed, everything works perfectly, very clean and easy to use even though it is small. The bathroom is very warm and is like a hotel bathroom, just a few steps away. The wood burner was really good, I created my own sauna! You don't need much to make it super toasty. I really didn't want to leave and will definitely be back. If you need some peace and tranquility in your life I can't recommend it enough. Also lovely, friendly hosts.

We've stayed at Hop Cottage twice now and both times have been excellent. Nigel and Wendy are great hosts: welcoming and friendly with great communication before arrival and whilst there. The cottage is a good size with 3 bedrooms and ample room for a group to stay in comfort in addition to shared facilities such as a hot tub, open air swimming lake and games room with a ping pong table. It is located in the Kent countryside with woodland on your doorstep to enjoy which can be accessed on foot from the cottage.

We have just returned home after the most amazing few days staying in Hop Cottage. Wendy was so friendly and welcoming that it made us feel at home straight away. The whole place was really clean and tidy and all of the beds were very comfortable. We took our little dog with us and it was so nice to be able to let him run free in the garden without worrying as the owners had made sure that it was very secure. It was very quiet and relaxing and the views across the fields from the garden and over the little lake when we were in the hot tub were just beautiful and it was so nice to watch the birds, dragonflies and butterflies, which were in abundance as well as the two, very friendly, horses in the field opposite the garden. We have taken home some wonderful memories and are already planning to book our next visit. Thank you so much Nigel and Wendy.
