Steeped in our history and that of our ancestors. Restaurant used to excellent, with fresh vegetables and innovative menus and proper china and cutlery. Now just soup and a roll, throw away plates, forks etc. But still, very expensive for no service. Great local staff. If the top echelons running NT spent less time denigrating our great British history and more time actually managing a great institution we would all benefit.

Not a NT member so meeting up for lunch meant £4 parking fee. Very little choice bean chilli, pasties or sandwiches. The sandwiches were good as was the pasty and the cake but quite expensive.
