Attended today with my father for assessment for his cataract operation. Seen within minutes of arriving. Little wait between seeing different staff for various tests. Everyone very polite, informative and most importantly caring, treating my father with respect. The best of the NHS.

Thanks to Mr Andrew Davies and his wonderful team at the newly opened Lancashire Eye Centre at Chorley Hospital I am feeling hopeful that sight in my right eye will, in the coming weeks and months be restored. 5 weeks ago I had a hemorrhage at the back of my right eye and have been unable to see out of it. I was seen by Rapid Assessment at the Eye Centre same day I phoned, had 2 follow up appointments and when no improvement quickly referred to eye specialist Mr Davies, within 30 hours of seeing him I was in theatre. I can honestly say that every single member of staff I saw from reception to medical were friendly, efficient and caring and Mr Davies and the theatre team so reassuring. We are so fortunate in the UK to have the NHS and to have such a wonderful modern new facility so close to Preston where I live.
