It’s been a long time since I feel like writing a review… but I need people to be aware of this. The lack of professionalism is just shocking. I had a mental breakdown and came across this place looking for help …seeing such a state of degradation gave me strength and motivation to get better so I could leave that mental-hostal-help ASAP. Dirty, low class people, unhinged. (Even the form documents were unexpectedly dirty, all of them) Was lucky enough to leave the same day. Ps: the doctor “de la Cruz ” was the exception, hope he can find a better place where to continue his excellent job.

It is blatantly obvious this place is contracted out to a profit based equity group. This place from everything that I've observed and in my honest opinion was formed whilst partner was an in-patient here. The place appears to be a profit before person operation that leaches money from the nhs for services not provided. No support is offered to in-patients, as medication is a far cheaper option than staff hours. The staff by large albeit 1 or 2 of the staff do not have even the remotest understanding of mental health or how to deal with people who are struggling with mental health challenges. I will be making a complaint to the CQC as this place shouldn't have an NHS contract. The long and the short of it is, if you care about your loved ones please if you want them safe and on a recovery journey do not go to lakeside view.

You are safer outside of this place than inside. Arrogant, incompetent staff, most of whom are agency.

I was hopeful going to lakeside View that I would be getting the help I so desperately needed but I got worse each day I was there. The doctors /consultants were not understanding or compassionate and were very condescending, the rest of the staff were no better, I was lucky if they even acknowledged me or greeted me with a good morning. I managed to stay for 5 days before i decided as an voluntary patient I wanted to go home, I asked numerous staff if I could speak to a doctor, that was about 12 pm by 9pm no one still came to see me, I was told if I tried to leave I would be sectioned and there policy is I have to give 3 days notice to leave, luckily my sister Is a health care professional and explained to them my rights and they very reluctantly let me leave. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
