On a very hot summers day the air conditioning was a relief in the beautiful cafe and the coffee ☕ was just as good. Stunning location on the Creek! Revisited as my wife was having a spa, signature massage. Still a great venue and the wife enjoyed the treatment. Location : 5/5 … More

Well where to start. Staff great, the suit was great, view great, sooo quiet at night!! (This lead to another issues) Evening meal was Good, breakfast buffet was Very Good, restaurant was large spacious and a massive outside area….The Spa….tip top!! This was the main reason for staying here at first, and we weren’t disappointed!! Check in and out Times in at 2 out at 11 were very good not like others in after 5 out before 10!!! Our stay was a Coronation package and well worth it, for people coming from the main land the ferry cost is included, this is a nice touch. The afternoon tea was included and was a nice touch. Osborn House tickets also included. Only 4 stars as it wasn’t a perfect stay but for the money Great Value and would stay again on a deal in a heartbeat. This is why I rate only 4 stars, this place boasts it’s the only 4 star resort , which it is, but like our suit there’s issues and some stuff shows it’s age. The pressing issue we’re dealt with swiftly and to a conclusion. I’m not someone who list the issues without giving them a chance. Our suit was very large, clean and the furniture is like modern art deco, the suit looks like it was set up for a business person. Unfortunately It has no USB sockets or smart TVs which there two of in the suit which I feel are a must now? Has fast free WiFi all though hotel. The bathroom was large, clean and had so many towels and bath products, which was great as we forgot to pack stuff. We asked for robes which were free and swiftly delivered. The room was nice as you could spend all day in there if you needed if weather turned bad, we had soo much sun this time. There’s a bus stop at the end of the drive with a 10min service if you don’t want to drive which we used for 2 days. At moment they have a £2 capped fare per journey which can work out cheaper than the day rover depending on what your doing. Breakfast buffet and food to order was also included and well worth it, the food was of a good standard, I would say add the breakfast to your stay if it’s not included as it kept us going till our evening meal. We ate twice in the restaurant and our main meals were fantastic, the sides we had were a bit of a let down, even after sending the spinach back. The steak and Lemon sole were soo nice, and the Chicken and Pork belly(perfectly cooked didn’t need a knife). I’m sure the chef’s changed as presentation and potion sizes of sides changed daily. As said sooo quite at night, The Wooton suit has the cleaners room next to the bed room, they in no way we’re trying to make a noise but because of the tiled floor everything they did you could hear, this would not be a problem if it wasn’t 7.10 am, with hind sight actually gave us a fuller day, but agin spoke to front desk and they waited till we got up, Can’t be more accommodating than that. The Spa was great, everything working and very quiet too. 3 saunas and a steam room, pool, jacuzzi and a thermal pool outside. No pics as no phones or cameras allowed 👍🏻 If you read this Lakeside, please take the tea and kettle stuff from the bed room and place in the living area so your sleeping partner isn’t woken by the kettle that sounds like a rocket. I would be more critical if I was paying full price for the suit, for me a lot of issues that a true handyman could remedy with very little cost, we’ve been lucky to stay in some fantastic places in the U.K. for less this is why it may seem picky, but it can and has been done. A big thanks to all the staff you made us feel very welcome. See you soon?

Visited this hotel some time back and room was ok, service ok too, dinner not bad but the spa was great. Visited the spa yesterday and was extremely disappointed. The thermal spa outside is broken and when I asked the staff member at reception about it, she just said "oh yea it's been like that for a while". The scented sauna ran out of the water you pour on the coals long before we got there as the bucket was completely dry. The spa area was not clean at all. Very disappointing and has significantly gone downhill since we last were there only a few months ago. It used to be such a good spa but it now has clearly just been abandoned and the lack of cleaning and maintenance has made it a poor experience for us on our visit yesterday. Due to this, we would recommend all to avoid it if you don't want to be disappointed and we certainly will not ever be returning.

We did a twilight evening at Lakeside today, 4 women who just needed to relax. Spa staff were lovely and friendly, and the spa area was fab. Included in our evening was dinner at the restaurant. Genuinely cannot fault it, the service from the staff from the minute we walked in to when we left was exceptional. All the waiters were so friendly, kind and professional, but in particular Chris B, who went out of his way to help us with some awkward requests. The restaurant staff are a credit to the hotel. Food was also excellent. Thank you ❤️ (We didn't stay in the hotel but it wouldn't let me review without filling everything in, so I rated it all as 5 stars)
