Impossible to get through to this Practice by telephone to make an appointment, always 30-40 minutes waiting to get through, sometimes longer. I got a letter from the practice asking me to make an appointment & on 3 occasions was told to phone back as there were no appointments available with my GP. It’s ridiculous. Also had a bad experience earlier this year trying to get proper medication prescribed via the emergency telephone line, it took 2 days to get the proper medication & I ended up in hospital because of it. I’m very dissatisfied with the service in this practice & I am changing to another practice as soon as possible. I feel sorry for elderly patients or other vulnerable patients who can’t get through to the Lakeside Medical Practice & are unable to get the help they need. More than likely these patients are left suffering as a result. I am changing to another GP practice & hopefully others reading this will not join this practice in the first place or will do as I do & change to another practice in the hope of better treatment.

Poor service, after waiting for nearly an hour in the phone to get through, was told i could only get an appointment for a fee weeks ahead, but then she said there was none available & to ring back in the morning. I don't mind waiting for an appointment, but shouldn't have to ring numerous times to get one.

Excellent service and courteous staff, always. Sometimes you are in line on the phone for a bit because of volume, but can’t blame staff for that. It’s a busy place, especially during COVID. Having worked in health care for 30+ years, I know what good service is, and they are great.
