Marcus is a true professional and is hugely knowledgeable about all things bee. I have just had a survey done on 2 colonies that are in our wall and Marcus has left us feeling reassured, informed and with an excellent plan of what to do next. Rarely do you get to meet someone like Marcus. If you are lucky enough to get him (the word it out and he is very busy)... then you are quids in. Very highly recommended. 5 stars - and the rest.

We called Marcus when a swarm of bees moved into our chimney. Having read a bit about how much it can cost to have them safely and humanely removed, we were delighted to find that Marcus was able to persuade them to leave of their own accord using a harmless scent, and all for a very reasonable price - even on the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend. Not only that but he stayed in touch with us regularly over the next few days to check how things progressed. He was friendly, accessible, honest and upfront about all the potential costs, and most importantly he got rid of our bees without hurting them or the environment. We hope we don’t have this problem again, but if we did, we’d call him again without hesitation. We can’t thank Marcus enough for helping us out of a potential nightmare!

I discovered honey bees had taken up residence in the flat roof of my extension. I had no idea what to do about them and went through weeks of stress as they were coming into the house and I had no idea if they were causing damage to our property. I ended up reaching out on Facebook and Marcus responded. Even though he lives a considerable distance from me he came and carried out a survey and then after the Winter a live extraction of the bees staying until late evening to ensure all the bees were collected to be rehomed. Marcus carried out all the work to such a high level you would never know he'd ever been there. He is the utmost professional, an expert about bees with a huge amount of knowledge but also has the ability to make you feel like you've known him for years. Thank you so much Marcus for all your help! Service: Home inspection

Marcus is simply ‘the bee man’ and has just removed a nest from our chimney using a cherry picker (see photo). It was fascinating to see the steps involved and the job was carried out very carefully. We fully recommend Marcus … he’s also a very nice chap. Thank you.

We have had honey bees in the roof soffit of our house for some years. They've never been a problem and we were happy to have them as tenants! However, due to an extension, we needed to have them relocated. We contacted Ukbr and they put us in touch with Marcus at Lakeside Bee Services. Marcus came out to do the survey. We found him to be extremely personable and knowledgeable. We had no doubt that he was the man for the job. Other outside agencies attempted to complicate the process but throughout Marcus communicated well and was positive in his suggestions to move the project forward. On bee removal day, Marcus and his colleague spent the whole day here not finishing until after 9pm in an effort to capture as much of the colony as possible. Such dedication is to be applauded and we are so grateful Marcus was on hand to solve the issue for us and that the honey bees are now safely installed in a new home. Our fingers are crossed that they get through winter but at least they have the best chance. Totally professional with great attention to detail. We'd highly recommend.
