It’s a train station, not much to say. If you find yourself in Laindon and need to get to London (or Southend) it’s the best (and only) option in town ;)

Lamentable fall from grace. Exit only Southend bound access for wheelchair users no lifts working so zero access to London bound trains. ATM removed, staff going to be removed from ticket office by 2025, hard to use ticket machines which loose WiFi often (buy your ticket ahead NO HOPE) all lifts out of order since 2020, rumour that handy footbridge from High Road to London (up) platform will be removed so awful unsafe crush in the mornings will return. Price hike because 1 station from Tube means its cheaper to buy a car & park at Upminster, like in the 70s again... Car parking site badly signposted. No security staff, so ticket staff feel under threat when you just say good afternoon to them. Underinvestment by parent company totally to blame, staffing numbers under threat too. As a longterm commuter I am saddened by this return to low standards. Two stars for WiFi on platform which staff use to tell you timetable and a new waterfountain by ticket office, and lovely coffee sometimes from part time coffee hole in the wall which is utterly inaudible for wheelchair users. Nobody listens at head office to these many year long complaints. Consider buying a car instead.

Pitty the ticket office seems to always be shut, although plenty of staff in the office. I hate using the ticket machine outside in the rain, or the sun's shining and can't see what's on the screen.
