A lot of thorns on brambles prevent you getting close to many of the gravestones. Left to rewild, apparently. If you are searching for a particular headstone there are very few labelled stones, no labelled areas. Unkempt. Greenwich Cemetery on the other hand is a much more well-cared for place & each area & many headstones clearly labelled & cared for apart from small "mass grave" areas - a pity those in charge of Ladywell cemetery managers can't follow their example. Also beware the dogs' mess.

A lovely lecture on artist Beatrice Offor who is buried here with her children next to her parents and siblings. A lovely little Chapel and the Friends of Ladywell Cemetery are wonderful, friendly and so incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking out when they give tours. A truly fascinating day out
