Some dishes were a little disappointing, the tomatoes in the caprese salad were tasteless, kind of like the cheapest you can get in the supermarket. The meatballs were ok, a little on the hard side rather than juicy and soft. The pizza crust was really nice and crispy, but the content, the tomato sauce and some of the toppings quite bland. These little details and the low quality ingredients can ruin a restaurant with good potential.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in Doncaster! I couldn’t recommend it more! I ordered the pollo piccante, the chicken was succulent and flavoured in this delicious tomato and garlic sauce! Come to La Rustica!!

The service was quite slow considering we were the only customers in the restaurant The waiter was more interested in checking his mobile or eating crackers than serving our table. The food was ok, but surely doesn't deserve the hype of the rest of reviews. We had a caprese salad which was ok, the meatballs which were very tough, and a pizza which wasn't the best. The ingredients used were of low quality with big chunks of bacon fat.

Rocked up on a Saturday with a group of 9 and they still managed to seat us. Food and staff were great. Highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: They haven't got a vegan menu but can make dishes vegan which was a lovely surprise
