On 23/05/2023 I Went to Kwik fit Verulam Road, St Albans for A.C gas refill on my car. Spoke with the manager and they agreed to do it straight away for an agreed price of £129.95 as shown on the website. They took almost 25 mins after which the car was ready and then asked me to pay £139.95. The manager at Kwik for Verulam Road ripped off and did not agreed as per the initial conversation. Secondly and more importantly the Job has not been done properly. Initially as told Job would be 1 hour but they completed within 25 mins of me entering the branch. (Can be seen from CCTV entry and exit time. AC refill has not been done as AC is not cooling as it is supposed to do. It stops releasing Air from vents after sometime and when AC is turned off after few mins air starts coming through the vents. I have been told that this is due to overfilling of the refrigerant. Today on 26/05/2023 went again and they kept me waiting saying there is a leak in the system. Why was the job done if there is a leak?? Refund me my money.

You called to say that you had done the free tracking check and it was out. I agreed to you adjusting it at a cost of £69.95. When I drove away the car was pulling to the right. I returned to the place after a short drive ansked for it to be rechecked. It was adjusted again and when I asked why it was not right first time, the guy said that one sensor may have slipped a little off the wheel. 2nd time around it was OK, but it was OK before the tyre change with no unusual wear pattern. So did I need the adjustment at all or was it just a way of getting more money out of me? I feel I may have wasted the £69.95 but its hard to prove now.

Pretty terrible upsell efforts. AVOID. Booked for two tyres. They did them and then called me to tell me they had conducted a “free wheel alignment” and it was badly out. £79 to rectify (just two wheel). When I told them I’d had it done just 3 weeks earlier they told me the tyres were running off on the edge and I must have hit a pothole. Rubbish. Utter rubbish effort to sell things people don’t need. Also didn’t put locking wheel nut back in the place they found it. And the staff member was rather rude when I collected (likely as he wasn’t going to get his upsell commission.) AVOID.
