I wish there were minuses for starts. SERIOUSLY. This is not the first time and probably wont be the last that people are rude. So you say ring at 8 to book an appointment. But the line is busy till 8.20 then I am on hold for 10 minutes. I was ringing on behalf of elderly in my family and as a result have got late to work on several occasions. In addition when the receptionist answer the phone majority think it is OK to be rude and have an ignorant tone as if I am ringing at the wrong time and wonder why I am annoyed. However I have to give it to one receptionist who is ALWAYS NICE no matter what and unfortunately I am not sure what her name is. In addition doctors need to stop relating every issue you have to weight. I personally very rarely use the doctors (literally once a year if that) and everything has got to do with my weight. As a result many things will have been misdiagnosed. So do better!!!

I've been with this surgery over 20 years, and have always had excellent service! Friendly and competent receptionists, nurses, and doctors. They’re doing a brilliant job of adapting to rapidly shrinking NHS resources, and were amazing during the pandemic! I've had numerous physical and mental health issues over the years, and have several long term conditions now. Kirkstall Lane have always given me effective, compassionate care.

I keep being told I can only book an appointment by phone at 1.00. When I call their lines are jammed. When they unjam, I am told there are no more slots. Rinse and repeat.

I hear a lot of people complain about the GP and there is sometimes a need to do so. I've almost always had positive experiences of the practice. There are going to be instances where you can't get through, but in all fairness the practice have changed things to be better able to triage and help those in most need. My G/F's GP practice is a joke on the other hand, the light surgery. I'm not sure how they still hold a license. Comparatively miles apart. I've read a few things about the reception staff and don't forget a lot of these staff are not medically trained, nor can they assist with medical related problems. Everyone is stretched and it appears the decency has gone. It lasted for about 5 mins during COVID. Mistakes happen, end of. I'm not a massive fan of the new e-consultation form, but it does work and someone will get back to you. I'm sure that a lot of people who make 'urgent' appointments with the GP could wait, but we live in a society that demands everything now.

The worst the worst the worst reception ever. Rude reception. Always delayed even when you show up for your appointment earlier. And never have an appointment for less than a year time .
