Ive Been attending KGS for 18 months now, and I've always loved the guitar sound and rock music in particular, I'm now playing along to some of my favourite songs and loving it at 47 years old!! You can definitely teach an old dog new tricks, Reuben has been great and even more so through the 1st Lockdown doing our zoom lessons religiously and keeping me going and interested...for anyone thinking of having a go do so!, me and my son whos 15 now attend together and are Getting some real competition going!! We would both highly reccomend KGS.

Amazing tuition, highly recommend. I've been a student of KGS for nearly a year now, James has taught me from complete beginner to be able to play with other musicians which I throughly enjoy every week. The majority of my lessons have been student-led which has been brilliant as I get to focus on the skills I want to learn and play music that I like, this most of all has kept me engaged with practising at home. In addition, there is also the opportunity to get involved with the very friendly community of musicians that surround KGS which I've taken advantage of and has progressed my ability.

Both of my children have been having lessons with Kirklees Guitar School, for the last few years. I initially worried that wanting to learn an instrument was something they would lose interest in, but very soon realised that James and Tom (guitar and drum teachers) only sparked their interest further. By teaching the boys the kind of music that they liked, it has kept them engaged and keen to learn. They practise without prompting and look forward to lessons. Everyone at the school is professional yet friendly, prices are reasonable, and I envision us being with Kirklees Guitar School for many years to come.
