I truly brilliant experience! I needed removal of a large sofa and I was unsure how to dispose of if correctly. Local private companies quoted around £70 but when I called Kirklees collection my price was £5.55 😀 100% recommendation. Service: Trash removal & disposal

Having now lived in Kirklees I can honestly say it has one of the worst waste collection services that I have ever come across. The recycling is just awful. One general bin per household unless you have six people. We have three under three and had to fight to get a second general waste bin ‘temporarily’. And a generic recycling bin - do not get me wrong, you can have extra of those…. Only, they do not recycle glass, certain plastics, common things like cardboard juice cartons. But they do handily provide you with a leaflet explaining all the things they don’t recycle. It’s quicker to list what they will actually take. Then there is garden waste. Can have a recycling bin. For a premium. That you have to apply for. So, all those houses not recycling garden waste or food waste because to do so is a premium service you have to pay them for. And my favourite is the local recycling centres. They are hilarious, they take nothing. Where we lived previously, you could recycle anything. Household appliances, rubble (within reason), mattresses, garden waste. You could have extra bins - they had a bin for everything. It was a real shock to the system moving here to such a poor service. I began to understand why beauty spots in the area have such an issue with fly tipping, it’s just a shame the council cannot make that connection. And again today is bin day and the road is once again littered with rubbish because the two young lads who have emptied the bins have dropped it onto the road, looked at it, discussed it, and walked away leaving the road a disgusting mess. This review will make no difference to an already broken system, and having fought the council for an extra bin I know firsthand how they just don’t care to offer a better service inline with other councils. So much for encouraging people to recycle. Service: Waste recycling

Just dump all the bins at the bottom of the drive so no one can get out. THANKS lads 🤨 Is it too difficult to put them back where you got them from?
