Kirkham is incompetent and arrogant . He performed a survey on my building when I was in the process of selling it and categorically stated that it had subsidence . This was proved completely incorrect by a subsequent structural engineers report that concluded It was in fact thermal movement . Why he stated subsidence as a fact , when he clearly had no idea is beyond me , but it caused me additional expense and a large amount of stress as the sale of my property nearly fell through, because of this . When I tried to discuss this matter with him he refused to communicate with me , but just continually stated he had no ‘duty of care to me’. Which may be true but I was hoping maybe he might have an ounce of integrity or humility and acknowledge he had caused me huge distress with his incompetence. I notice from other reviews he makes a habit of these mistakes and his responses demonstrate his arrogance clearly .He is unable to stand by his dubious conclusions. I had no choice but to be caught up with him , but I would avoid if I were looking for a surveyor, I note with his reply below he has shown himself once again to be a liar . I am indeed ‘disgruntled’ as he stated something on the survey as a fact which was later disproved . Contrary to what he says , his client actually did end up buying my property , once the issue of the inaccurate survey was resolved . I’ve written this review as a warning to you all. Anyone actually thinking about using Kirkham’s services needs to strongly think again as telling lies is clearly second nature to him so why trust him with probably the biggest purchase you’ll ever make ?

Would not recommend. Aleks carried out a building survey on a flat I was purchasing but failed to spot a progressive leak coming from the flat above. Aleks denies that the leak was there when he carried out the survey and is not taking any responsibility. Sadly, the leak was there all along and it resulted in the bathroom ceiling becoming unstable. Don't waste your money
