FAQ
What is your policy on sick children attending the creche?
We have a strict policy that sick children cannot attend the creche to prevent the spread of illness to other children and our staff. We ask parents to keep their children at home until they are fully recovered and no longer contagious. Can you provide information on your curriculum and teaching philosophy?
At Kingswood Nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which focuses on play-based learning and child-led activities to promote development in all areas. Our teaching philosophy is centered on creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to explore and learn. What kind of curriculum do you follow and is it age-appropriate?
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which is designed for children aged 0-5 years. It is a comprehensive curriculum that covers all areas of development, including communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. We tailor our activities and teaching to the age and abilities of each child. What are the qualifications and experience of your teaching staff?
All of our teaching staff are highly qualified and experienced in early childhood education. They hold at least a Level 3 qualification in childcare or above, and many have additional qualifications and training in specific areas such as special educational needs, safeguarding, and first aid. We also provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure our staff are up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early years education. What is the policy for late pickups and how is it enforced?
We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances can cause parents to be late for pickup. However, we have a policy in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children and staff. If a parent is more than 15 minutes late for pickup, we will contact them to determine their estimated time of arrival. If they are unable to arrive within a reasonable timeframe, we will attempt to contact their emergency contacts. If no one is available to collect the child, we will contact social services. We enforce this policy to ensure that children are not left waiting and our staff are not required to work beyond their contracted hours.Reviews
