AVOID… they have targets to meet, and they will be met at all costs… Animal care is secondary.

I took my pet rat here. They made me aware of that they’re not trained as exotic vets. So please bare that in mind. Pumpkin was experiencing leg pain. The vet was initially very helpful. She helped identify the issue at hand which was thought to of been a slipped disc which caused nerve damage. That is why I’m giving them 3 stars. However, I made an effort to point out that Pumpkin is showing signs of a mild respiratory infection. As his condition worsened, she still could not hear anything in his lungs. And just half blamed his slipped disc. (I didn’t think listening for a respiratory infection would be limited to exotic vets. I believe all vets are trained to be able to hear infection in the lungs or chest) long story short, I took him to a second vet who immediately confirmed he had a uri and that had now turned into life threatening pneumonia. Once he had doxycycline Pumpkin started to regain health. He became more active, he ate more. All amazing signs. He was doing very well. But due to it taking so long to get him the proper care, he later died due to not having stronger medication sooner. I just kept being told that he will die or to put him down. I don’t feel like he was given much of a chance. I wouldn’t recommend this vet to exotic animal owners. However, after seeing some of the reviews, it’s not been just exotic animals that this has happened with. I’d always recommend getting a second opinion. If I had trusted my gut and knowledge sooner, that may of saved his life.

This is the worst veterinary group in Hull and possibly the UK. About every week we get a letter as they want more and more money out of us just becuase they feel like it. Charge us £80, even about £1,000 just to scan our dog, couple of hundred pounds just for his pills. And they will keep asking us to take out dog in for a scan so they can bag them selvs another grand of our money. The insurance company is also terrible as they won't cover the cost other wise what is the point of them if they're not going to cover it. Kingston Veterinary are nothing but a group leaches that want to drain you dry of your money, even at these times we have no money at all in our life savings thanks to K.V.G as we struggle to even pay for gas, water and other bills. We are currently trying to change vets. If you have a pet or thinking of getting one, DON'T choose Kingston Veterinary Group, also just looks at some of the other reviews on how they treated other animals, they will just bleed you dry of your money. Go with one that actually cares. If you get a letter through the post, say goodbye to a couple of hundred pounds not to mention you have to pay it. I bet K.V.G all sit in there laughing their arses off. What a massive joke, K.V.G should be ashamed of themselvs.

When I brought my boy in for a blockage they looked after him and treated him brilliantly. They have followed up brilliantly and we have more follow ups. They truly care for my boy and I can not thank them enough for everything they've done, from treating him, surgery, helping me understand his medication and planning more follow ups. They've even helped settle my anxiety when I worry and I'm able to email pictures and the vets ring me back to explain and so far so good. They even helped with the stress of insurance claims, giving me a simple form to fill out and they've sorted the rest for me. I cannot praise them enough.
