FAQ

What types of fish do you farm?

At Kingsnordley Fisheries, we specialize in farming rainbow trout and brown trout. These fish are known for their delicious taste and are highly sought after by our customers.

What is your farm's stocking density?

We maintain a low stocking density to ensure that our fish are healthy and have plenty of room to swim. Our ponds are stocked at a rate of 1000 fish per acre, which is well below the industry standard.

How are your fish fed and what do you feed them?

We feed our fish a high-quality diet that is specially formulated to meet their nutritional needs. Our fish are fed a mix of commercial fish feed and locally sourced ingredients, such as insects and worms.

What measures do you take to ensure the quality and safety of your fish?

We take several measures to ensure the quality and safety of our fish. We regularly test our water to make sure it is clean and free from contaminants. We also monitor our fish closely for signs of disease or stress. Additionally, we follow strict hygiene protocols to prevent the spread of any pathogens.

Do you have any certifications or accreditations relevant to fish farming?

Yes, we are certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), which is a global organization that sets standards for responsible aquaculture. We also adhere to the best practices outlined by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) and the British Trout Association (BTA).

Booked to take my 5 yr old, turned up, then after an hour a guy turned up and said I shouldn’t be there because there’s a match, then said don’t worry there’s only 4 of us. Then after another hour or so he said no you’ll have to leave there’s going to be too many (6 people) I have emailed my complaint to the company and had no response. Wouldn’t bother.
