Significantly better than it was in the 90s when I went there. My kids are happy, well taught and well looked after. The school was amazing through the whole Covid debacle. It seems to operate largely as a meritocracy and the students get out what they put in. If your child tries hard and puts in maximum effort, you couldn’t hope for a better school.

Feels like a prison. Uniform policy is absolutely ridiculous aswell as the new detention system with afterschools from 3:20 - 5pm for not doing the hours worth of stressful homework. I have experienced racism at the school from fellow students and the school has done nothing about it and the people have never been told off, however they take homophobia way more seriously. Please dont send your kid there it is an absolute living hell.

Looking back on it, my key memory from this school was in year 11 when they made me do talk sessions with the SENDCo at the time, and she told me I needed to be more normal because I was putting others off. My tics were especially bad at the time, so you can imagine that it didn't exactly do wonders for my self-esteem.
