Lovely place, but the seats are so close together and no leg room. Being 5'9" I was in a lot of pain in my legs and back by the end. If I go again I will definitely need an aisle seat. Also the music was a tad loud. Long queues for the ladies at the stalls go up to either of the next two floors and they were empty

Would have been 5 stars but for the cramped seating and narrowness of the rows meaning literally the whole section has to move when someone in the middle wants out or in. Something to be aware of especially if you have trouble with mobility. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking around the local area is permit only between 4pm and 6pm, there are other restrictions so I would advise checking the Portsmouth council website. There are lots of restaurants and bars around the area. It's a lovely old theatre, acoustics were great but beware getting seating too far to the left, visibility of the stage back left will be impaired (although you're closer to the half time ice cream :-) Speaking of which, ice cream was £3 for a very small tub, and it's card payments only.
