Food & drinks: Food and drink poor in the hotel. Very expensive and tiny portions. I don't mind smaller portions if the quality is there but the steak not so great, the risotto like porridge, my daughters waffle like cardboard, the fish and chips risibly small for the price, laughable. However the duck confit was great. Maybe a wedding being on meant the main kitchen didn't get the attention needed but wouldn't be back.

Fabulous place, grounds are beautuful. lots of atmosphere Great style. Very friendly staff, who couldn't do enough for us. We had a beautiful afternoon tea for 3 of us all lovely and fresh, with great sandwiches, quiches and pork pies and blinis. Scones and jam and clotted cream. And a number of other little bite-size cakes. And as much as you wanted in teas and coffees as you wanted whilst you were there My daughter had a gluten-free selection, which was all very fresh and tasty. She was extremely happy with hers. Great price for what you got. Definatley recommend. Walkability: My daughter is disabled and managed, no problem walking in, I think a wheelchair would also have been ok, but we didn't have one, so I can't say for certain. Mitchell dire about the grounds fir any one with disabilities as we didn't go outside
