The surface is terrible for skating on. I don't understand how they didn't consult skaters to see if it's good or not. The actual park itself could be decent. I wouldn't know cause the floor slows you down to the point you can barely get up a ramp

Nice 'classic' skatepark, built to be skated and not just designed to look nice for dog walkers strolling through a park like most built these days. Great mini ramp, perfect spine and some nice grind boxes and a p-rail. Frames are all metal with skatelite style ramps so it's built to last but beware, once wet this stuff it's like ice. The tarmac floor isn't nice with some sketchy areas, this is also very slippy when wet. What I do like is It's got stuff for both begginers and skilled skaters. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

it’s alright. The surface definitely needs re-doing because it has a lot of pot holes at some parts. It is more of a scooter and bike park than a skate park however. Can be a bit dodgy due to the people who come on it sometimes (once went there and some teenagers had set a small fire in one of the bins). I have heard that the council have been given £114,000 to re-do it which is very needed. It’s very outdated.

1. How can 'local guides' give 5 star reviews to such an outdated, not fit for purpose facility?! Do any of the 'local guides' have any experience of current skatepark design? Have they ever used a skatepark themselves, enabling them to compare one with another? If they had, they'd realise that killamarsh park is wholly inadequate in this day and age. 2. The park is very outdated in design and materials. Many other towns in the region - many way smaller than killamarsh have built skateparks employing modern design and materials providing their community with a up to date and fit for purpose facility. Why not killamarsh? killamarsh local authority - do your residents a favour - recognise the need, spend some cash and build the skatepark your community deserves. killamarsh deserves a real skatepark, not the kind that has have been "gifted" from the council. You could easily justify a larger more modern skatepark with varying ramps with many reasons, but I'm not going to do that here. All I can say is the ramps are unsafe with dangerous transitions which make it unrideable for all, the park is located next to a child's play park, where they tend to filter over into the skatepark whilst athletes are attempting to train safely (often causing accidents due to the nature of stunts attempted at a skatepark), along with the fact that no one wants to use it for training purposes, as a result of this and other people coming in to use it as a seat. A skatepark is not a bench, if you want to sit then you should find one (for one thing). there is two located in park but its a Shoddy park does not deserve the light of day, and you only have the light of day as the lights don't work so riding in daytime in winter is impossible don't come here if you want to learn anything.

To echo most comments, this skatepark is ONLY good for scooter and bikes. Maybe bladers at a push. If you are a skateboarder stay away. The surface between obstacles is the worst thing you could ever skate. Coming off a ramp is like skating into quick sand, speed killer at it's finiest. You need some comedy Mario kart style wheels made of gel to get a smooth ride 🤣. And don't dare fall on it, or you're ripping your arm open to the bone. If you do want to skate some transition, which are the composite wood material, you need to be of a good standard as they are big! I did hear on the grapevine it's getting re-surfaced (or re-done completely maybe) I'm which case, would be worth re-visiting once its not

Awesome skate park. Great for BMX , dirt jump bikes, scooters and skateboards. Plenty of features and great for beginners to more serious riders. Easy parking. An hidden gem.
