My child stayed at the setting for about a year. Our experience was mixed with great days and bad days but we surely left on a bad note due to the unprofessional conduct by the management (Gemma, Kai, and Iman). The good days: they have these seasonal events where parents could come see their child at the setting. These were always fun. The room staff were kind as to let us bring him a birthday cake and they’ve lit the candles and shared his cake with his lil friends. The bad days: During our time at the setting, my child was bitten 4 times in 1 month, 3 of which were in 1 week! Months later, he eventually developed a habit of biting others which is, I suspect, the result of the ongoing biting which might have gone unnoticed. He’d come home with nasty rashes and I had to repeatedly remind them to use the nappy cream. Despite those ongoing issues, we left the nursery with the intention of coming back (registering our son again) after the holiday because we did not want to cause our son any distress. Something the management initially had no problem with. We gave them a 1 month notice before leaving as per policy and they kept stalling about when we could re-register my son. Eventually they sent us a “good-well” email (only 3 days before the Christmas break) saying that they would not accept my son into the setting if we do not pay for the time when he wasn’t registered with them!! Let aside how twisted this made up rule is, I can’t get over the fact that they did not have the professional courtesy to give us the due notice of their intention/decision earlier! What was even more unprofessional is the fact that the manager ghosted me and never responded to my email in that regard. I called when they re-opened in January and was promised, by Kai the deputy manager, a call back from the manager but that never happened. I called again and when Gemma, the manager, picked up by coincidence, she was unapologetic about everything. She promised to send me an email stating how much they wish me to pay but again that promise was not kept. By then the whole thing had turned into one unpleasant chase. I had to register my son with another nursery due to this we-couldn’t-care-less attitude. They pride themselves in being a friendly nursery but this is far from friendly! They couldn’t care less about the inconvenience myself and my son had to endure and they were very unprofessional about all this. I have called ofsted and they reassured me that I can file an official complaint against the nursery and as a matter of fact I am considering it but I’m trying to hold back for the sake of those good days and the kind staff who have nothing to do with the management’s conduct.

Picking a nursery as a first time parent isn’t easy, and probably one of the biggest decisions you will make towards building your child’s future in the first year of parenting. We certainly didn’t know what to expect or know how our little one could be loved and cared for like she is at home, but the minute we stepped into kidzrus media city we just knew that our little girl was going to be more than ok. The staff were so welcoming and professional, the nursery was so beautifully presented and the children were all so happy and content. Isabella has been loved and cared for like we could never have imagined. The professionalism and quality of care the nursery provide is amazing and has got better and better during Isabella’s journey. We can’t believe the time has come for Isabella to go big school, we will miss kidzrus very much! We would highly recommend kidzrus media city they always go above and beyond to delivery the best childcare.
