FAQ

What initiatives does your association take to support students and their families?

At Kids Inspire, we offer a range of programs and services to support students and their families. We provide counseling services for children and families, as well as psychomotor therapy, and youth social services. We also have a Students' Parents Association that works to provide resources and support to families. Additionally, we offer household services such as cleaning and meal preparation to help alleviate some of the stress that families may be experiencing.

How do you ensure the safety of volunteers while they are participating in your programs?

We take the safety of our volunteers very seriously. All of our volunteers are required to undergo background checks and training before they are allowed to work with our clients. We also have strict protocols in place for all of our programs to ensure that our volunteers are never put in unsafe situations. If a volunteer feels uncomfortable or unsafe in any way, they are encouraged to speak up and we will take immediate action to address the situation.

Do you offer transportation services?

At this time, we do not offer transportation services. However, we are happy to work with families to help them find transportation options that meet their needs.

How do you assess and diagnose children's mental health concerns?

Our team of child psychologists and counselors use a variety of methods to assess and diagnose children's mental health concerns. This may include interviews with the child and their family, observation of the child's behavior, and standardized assessments. We take a holistic approach to mental health care, and work closely with families to develop a treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each child.

What is your approach to involving parents or guardians in the treatment process?

At Kids Inspire, we believe that involving parents or guardians in the treatment process is crucial to the success of our programs. We work closely with families to develop a treatment plan that takes into account their unique needs and preferences. We also provide regular updates and progress reports to parents or guardians, and encourage open communication throughout the treatment process. We believe that by working together, we can achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.

My daughter attended sessions with Caroline Walker for about 6 months. She looked forward to her weekly sessions where she could be herself and chat in a safe space. Caroline is an excellent listener, and empathetic in her approach to situations. Caroline’s approach make it easy for my child to understand the situation. She then provided my daughter with skills and tools to help her on a daily basis. I would highly recommend kids inspire and Caroline.

Did more harm than good, very disappointing service that was sadly not child focussed and lacked a “can do” approach. Funded sessions were not completed and I recommend avoiding this charity; where did the money go?!
