Went with our Year 3 class this week. We arrived about 9-45 to a warm welcome, then a couple of hours with Helen explaining how all the crops are grown, what each crop looks like and the children were fascinated with a well-paced delivery from the excellent Helen. After a lunch the children had 20 minutes in the playground, a safe place to watch all the children. Then Jade drove the tractor to do a farm tour once more with Helen giving commentary and we dropped off for a couple of descriptions on farming plants, food and again with great delivery. The toilets were in good condition and the room was very clean. After another playground energy release we returned to our coach at 2-30. It was fun, educational and interesting, there was no hard selling just an absorbing school trip where the children ( and adults) learned much about farming, thanks all.

A new find for me. All of the things I love in a cafe-farm shop and small garden centre. Friendly staff, local produce, home made food and a small, but charming eating area. The only problem with recommending KH, is that it might get too popular. I would suggest early lunch, to get a good spot.
