We take safety very seriously and have a number of measures in place during our lessons. All of our instructors are qualified and experienced surfers who are trained in first aid and water safety. We provide all necessary safety equipment, including wetsuits and surfboards, and closely monitor weather and sea conditions to ensure the safest possible environment for our customers.What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that sometimes plans change, and we try to be as flexible as possible with our customers. If you need to cancel a lesson, please let us know as soon as possible. For cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, we offer a full refund. For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, we may not be able to offer a refund, depending on the circumstances.What are the specific canoeing areas that your company offers?
We do not offer canoeing as one of our services. Our main focus is on surf lessons and equipment rental. However, we do offer stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) lessons and rentals, which can be a great way to explore the beautiful coastline of Broadstairs.Reviews

I recently rented a couple of paddleboards at Kent surf school. The team were incredibly friendly and gave great tips about what to do, as well as where I could go. The gear was great, the beach is gorgeous and it is super accessible for folk like me based in London. I will certainly be going back again soon! 🤙

I am a novice surfer who had 5 lessons and a couple of sessions in the water by myself. I visited Kent Surf School to rent a board for the first time ……. Firstly the lady could see I hadn’t put my wetsuit on (oversight on my behalf however I felt nervous going there on my own) but my time started once I’d paid and she hadn’t even got me a board but then said she would give me a couple of minutes to put my wetsuit on. I found the plastic on the board very uncomfortable for my feet. The next thing the whole of the leash came off the board and I went in the bloke said he wouldn’t charge me for it, which was pretty off. He then had a go at me as I rested the board on the plastic railings on the wrong bit as apparently it falls over. I did not know this and found his curt manner unnecessary and off putting for a novice surfer. Perhaps the surf school could invest in some more sturdy metal railings? I would not visit again and perhaps the staff may consider being more supportive to novices as there can be a certain level of elitism in the surfing world. I am in surfing for the long haul and not just fair weather. I will also not be recommending Kent Surf School.

Amazing. I have been once for paddleboarding and once with my preschooler for the Confident Nippers session. Both lessons were brilliant. Friendly, attentive staff, able to answer any questions. I felt safe in their capable hands. Can't wait to book my next lesson!

My partner and I are beginners to surfing and booked a private lesson. Absolutely loved it! Andy went through the beginner skills with us very well and were able to progress really well. Enjoyed it so much that we are definitely coming back! Shout out to David, the other coach, for his help and advice. Thanks for a great morning and what is hopefully the start of a long surfing journey! :-)
