There's a pretty rough bunch of people living on this canal. It's lined with many derelict boats which are inhabited, some burnt out and some rotting hulks, and some graffitied oddities. Seems to me to be a worrying place of unfortunate poverty. A terrible place for a boating holiday because the aggressive and violent permanent residents never stop heckling pleasure boaters. Locals say it's due to the large number of people with mental health issues living on the canal. A very bad holiday destination, and for me £1,000 wasted on a holiday we cut short due to scary aggressive canal residents. Thankfully the police were only minutes away when my family was threatened and rocks thrown at our hire boat. ...Day two and only one bad experience with a resident. It must be a horrific place to live if you can't cope with the many holiday boats going past. Choose another life, angry people!
