Visiting from Australia we hired a car for almost two months. We were happy with the competitive pricing and the staff at the South Wimbledon office, Kirsty & Ben, were friendly and efficient. The car we hired was exactly what we needed and we had no problems with out whilst travelling all over the UK. Unfortunately we incurred a Penalty Notice on our first day for driving up a road with certain Low Emission restrictions (London is full of potential driving fines and the signage is not very clear). We appealed against the fine explaining our situation and with the helpful support of Renata in Kendal's Guildford office and the fine was cancelled. All in all we were very pleased with Kendal and we will use them again when we return to UK next year.

We were a little disappointed in the service at this branch of Kendall cars, I had called up and had a pretty extensive conversation requesting a certain car that we had hired from them before, because it was a good size for 5 people and luggage, we were promised this car but when we got there the guy said it wasn’t available. I realise this isn’t normal practice to request a car but why say we can have it if you aren’t going to reserve it. While checking in, the staff member did the bare minimum and didn’t go through dents on the car or anything, he also told us we could drop the car off there out of hours, but we got back from the trip in a rush to get to the football final and the carpark was all locked up, with no cars in it and no access. Possibly this experience was a reflection of just the one guy working and not the whole company
