After hearing such good reviews from others i had such high hopes. Unfortunately I am applaud of the service we received before and after my mother passed away. I am disappointed with the lack of sympathy and support from your staff. I will never forget how unimportant we felt and no amount of apologies could ever make us feel any better about the situation.

Wow when I first heard my dying father was going into a hospice for respite my heart sunk and stomach churned but this was a part of my dads days that were spent in comfort and the best place he could of hoped to of been at that time. The end of his life was enhanced by the care of the staff and the privacy of the atmosphere that was so very calming and facilities that were excellent and up to date aswell as being well thought out to cater for patients needs. Places are few so count anyone that is given care here as very lucky and hands down better off than being in any hospital be it nhs or private. The staff are on hand and ready to accommodate any requests if possible and at the same time give the patient and family the space needed at a difficult time and it made it feel like home rather than a facility where you had others receiving similar treatment or care. My dad had spoke of the thought that went into patients care down to their last precious days being filled with nice things and not from boredom of confined to a bed . For instance a lady came in and played the harp out in the hall so I heard it was beautiful and something that was fitting for soft and soothing in the background . His room was light and bright as they are built around the garden in the centre and bring the outdoors indoors as much as possible but was a lovely private ensuite room that was much like a high end hotel and with the room service too which is adapted to suit nutritional needs of patients and help regain lost appetite far from hospital dinner and this extended to visitors having access to separate kitchen facilities to make their own refreshments and hygienic and clean too. My dad spent the last month or so of his life here and I had fears when I heard he was leaving hospital and would be going here. I can safely say how very wrong I had been and could never of imagined the treatment at keech hospice that was outstanding and ment so much to us at such a difficult time. I never personally knew any staff by name and they could of told me but sure I was in a place where I wasn’t aware of my own name and didn’t care either way. However they are what make keech the place it is and have such difficult work and somehow still make it look so easy and day after day too!! Thank you for your kindness it will never be forgotten and wether directly or indirectly from cleaners and cooks to doctors and fundraisers that my family or I never even met your input to the facility is appreciated by us greatly
