I used to come here with my wife when it was The Grill and the food was great back then. I went recently after it became Kayene and was thoroughly disappointed. We were the only customers and the atmosphere felt gloomy. Now I know why. The goujons were way too greasy and fell apart in my hands. The grilled chicken was burnt and tasted like charcoal. The chicken pasta my wife ordered was watery and she left two thirds of it behind because she couldn't eat it. The chips were undercooked. I brought this to the waiter's attention whose response was that they were cooked for four minutes and that's how they always cook them and its never been a problem before. I asked him to taste the chip to see what I meant but maybe his taste buds were biased or he's just never had decent chips before. The chips had to be re-fried but even then it wasn't great but I felt too embarrassed and disappointed by the defensive nature with which my complaint was handled that I just finished my meal and left with a firm resolution not to eat there again. The food was so greasy I had to use the napkin to soak it off. The service was disappointing. No smile, no thank you, no apology, and no ketchup or sauces offered. I had to go and look for the sauces myself and had to raise my voice to get the waiter's attention when it came to asking for the bill as he was preoccupied with his colleagues serving no other customers! Very disappointing experience. I have had better food and service at local chicken and chip shops and the food tasted better!

Was not impressed at all. Mains were missing sides; and when they did arrive it was like three quarters of the rest of the food had been eaten. We were the only customers there. The atmosphere felt dead. This place was much more lively when it used to be The Grill. I can't see myself visiting this place again I'm afraid.

I ordered for the first time from This place and the food was absolutely horrible. I asked for bbq grilled wings and there was no bbq on it. The goujons were stale and the mushroom pasta was awful. It’s watery. The only thing nice was the coke that came in a can.

I had a wrap half of it was air the other half strips. Tasted like covid had an impact on there business and they are just trying to rip people off with bad food. This restaurant use to be called the grill and they have renamed themselves probably due to failure before as the food standards and menu is the same. Never go. Ever.
