  Kate was a total dream to work with and her photos of our wedding are amazing! She captured the day perfectly - all the laughter, fun and little moments that we look back on and can’t help but smile at! Kate was a true professional - totally wonderful and put us at ease from the first call where she talked us through the process, her quick follow up and prompt replies to any questions, her help on the day getting us prepped and ready for the ceremony, and her calm and fun approach was so well received. She also had a fantastic eye for finding an amazing angle and shot, and she was well skilled at herding our awkward families too! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Kate!

  Kate was a phenomenal photographer through every step of the process. From our very first meeting, she put us at ease and communicated effectively - she really felt like our friend as well as our photographer. The final pictures are so amazing, and we couldn't be happier with the coverage - she captured the day exactly as we remember it, and in so much detail. Pictures are natural rather than posed, and have such beautiful colours and composition. The biggest compliment really is that several people asked if Kate was one of our friends; neither of us like having our pictures taken, but she blended in so well, and made everyone feel so comfortable, that she became one of us rather than someone providing a service.

  We're delighted with Kate's work photographing our fundraising festival, KHARnival. She really captured the unique spirit of the event in tricky conditions (extreme heat, outdoors over two sites and with lots of kids running around). She understood the sensitivity of vulnerable event-goers and worked with true professionalism and creativity to build a lasting record of our day. She has also done a merchandise photoshoot for our charity Kings Heath Action for Refugees, working with our volunteer models. Kate's warmth and sense of fun really put our models at ease which meant we could get the most out of the shoot and they all had a great experience. The resulting photos are striking, creative and full of character. We really couldn't ask for more. Thank you Kate, you're an absolute star!

  Our experience with Kate as our wedding photographer was second to none. From the very beginning we knew that she had the photography style we wanted (wonderfully done candid shots, in layman terms) but as a person she's just been so pleasant to deal with. When she arrived on my wedding she slotted right in, and then bizarrely you barely noticed her snapping away! She wasn't once intrusive or annoying like I've experienced at other weddings. So many people commented on how lovely she is. And our photos... They're just exceptional. Truly. There are some photos on there you could never pose for and recreate. Kate manages to capture the magic of many, many moments you miss as bride and groom, and there are pictures there I will treasure forever. Thank you Kate! C, K & T x

  I cannot put into words and say enough good things about Kate! She is incredible at what she does! We couldn't be happier with our photos! She is such a genuinely lovely person and makes you feel so relaxed in the lead up and on the day. She blends in so well and you become uncaring/unaware there is a camera being pointed at you. Neither of us are the best at posing for pictures but no poses felt stiff or unnatural on the day! We now have so many pictures we absolutely adore (I had previously thought we might only get a couple as we can be so awkward with pictures, we LOVE them ALL!) I'm going to make a HUGE picture wall in our house and its going to make me so happy to look at it every day! I also adore the pictures that were captured of guests on the day, Kate seems to capture the essence of people in her shots. I absolutely loved Kate style of work when I went looking for a photographer, her work is stunning and I thought if I could just get a little bit of that awesome-ness captured on our day, we'd be happy but we are more than happy and we will treasure them for years! I couldn't imagine haven't been so happy if we had picked someone else. EDIT: I went to look at our pictures again right after leaving this review. If you don't pick Kate Jackson as a photographer you're probably making one of the worst decisions (if not the worst) of your life...not to be dramatic or anything but its true.... I also started favoriting pictures but had to stop as there was too many!

  We got married in May 2021. I absolutely hate having my photo taken, but I wanted to have one photo from the wedding I could look back on. So we hired Kate as her portfolio looked really good and she also had a positive tone to her website. And she liked cats, so she had to be nice right? Kate kept in touch with us right up to the wedding day! She was informative and answered all of my questions. From talking to her, I knew we had made the right decision booking. She is a lovely person who you would happily have as wedding guest, never mind photographer! If anyone could get me that one magic photo - I knew it would be her. On the day of the wedding Kate blending in perfectly like one of the guests! It never felt awkward or too formal having her around. She even helped to calm my nerves before the ceremony! During the couple photos she helped us to semi pose and then just let us chat to each other until she got the magic shot. A few weeks later we received a sneak peak. And my one magic photo was there! I was so happy I did a little squeal and may have shed a tear. It genuinely was one of the best photos I have ever seen. She really has an eye for this! In the photo we looked relax and well like us, which was super important to me. I wasn't expecting much when we received our full album. More than one photo of me that I would like was impossible. Well, Kate did the impossible! I have literally hundreds of photos from our micro wedding that I love! It took us 3 full days, a full chocolate cake and brave decisions to narrow them down for our wedding album. I am genuinely in awe of what she has produced. If you need a photographer - make it Kate. You will have a lovely wedding guest, amazing photos and great memories to last a lifetime. Oh, but she is obsessed with good lighting so expect to chase the sun! It will be worth it though so listen to her!

  To say 2020 was a turbulent year is the biggest understatement of understatements but it's during the most challenging times that you see can really see someone's worth and Kate is worth her weight in gold and then some. Like many engaged couples we initially planned to get married in April 2020 and like many, we faced difficulties and uncertainties when that was unable to happen and Kate was just a bright shining light throughout. The support she provided went beyond that of a supplier and was more like a wonderful friend who showed genuine warmth and kindness in challenging times and just wanted to be a support in whatever way she could throughout a hugely significant time in your life! And where do you begin with the day! I honestly feel like Kate could have been a spy she was so inconspicuous! So friendly and relaxed, she fit right in and everyone said how lovely was, she literally just felt like another guest in the most wonderful, comfortable way. And the photographs, they were absolutely incredible! Beyond anything we could have hoped for and our highlights video was fantastic! So unbelievably talented! And the online gallery was brilliant, so easy to use and the prints we got were just gorgeous! I saw her work and reviews and had high expectations but oh how she surpassed them! All we can say is there are many decisions to go back and forth about for a wedding but booking Kate as your photographer is most definitely not one of them!
