Lovely garden design and generally high standard of work. Docking two stars though for the following reasons: 1: Ambushed us with an increased quote - an almost 20% jump with just a week to go before work - so a 55k job suddenly became a 65k job within the space of 4 weeks. 2: They fought tooth and nail against redoing a clearly defective artificial grass installation - even after we had the grass company who make the grass they installed come out and assess the job as a "disaster" - see photos attached. It took weeks of extremely stressful emailing back and forth with the owner before she finally relented and had them come to fix the clearly awful joint. 3: The flower beds were a disgrace - again, see photos rather than taking my word for it. Absurdly uneven soil, many plants very poorly planted (as attested to by our professional gardener who inspected them), and we had to arrange our own mulch topper which absolutely should have been included as standard at the premium they charged. Our gardener also says an inappropriate number of plants were crammed into too tight a space. 4. When issues with the work arose, the company owner tried to deny we had a contract with her for the construction work, which was patently absurd as we clearly had, demonstrating either a shocking lack of very basic contract law knowledge for a business owner or a deliberate attempt at deflection. All in all, I can't recommend them - as can be seen here and in many other reviews for this company, you'll see that if things go wrong they will fight against correcting them (and sometimes never rectify them at all according to some other online reviews). Further, from other reviews it seems that the last minute huge quote hikes are a suspiciously frequent occurrence.

Hiring Kate and her team to design our front garden was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The whole process from providing the initial designs to obtaining planning permission then installation was seamlessly handled by them and the final result was better than I could ever have imagined. The transformation from a sad mound of grass to the beautiful garden that we now have is unbelievable, so much so that we have even had strangers knock on our door to tell us how wonderful the garden looks. We loved Kate Eyre from the first time we met her. She came up with a wonderful design for our small outdoor space which has made it feel four times as big as before! She listened to what we needed and liked and came up with ideas we would have never have thought of. Using epspelier apple trees to create a natural wall, and different types of flooring for different ‘zones’ are examples. The planting is manageable and in keeping with our style and the raised beds and built in bench structure works so well. Neighbours have called it ‘magnificent’ and ‘exceptional’

The team are so hardworking very easy to work with and the follow up has been superb. Any issues that have arisen 6 months on have been dealt with immediately. Highly recommend!
