Work had booked myself and a colleague 2 rooms for 1 night while on a exciting week tour of northern gyms. On arrival at the car park I immediately questioned the sat nav as I presumed I'd drove into a breakers yard. We took the risk of our van being left on bricks and made our way through the rear entrance met by a lovely 'builders chic' rockery made out of disused hard-core. At the front you are met by one of those ring doorbells and the fun really begins, once you get in then it's onto the sticky dirty phone to find out the combination to the several security boxes that holds your key.... but wait you have to show ID first! I was expecting Richard O'brien any second to pop out and start counting down from 10 before we was locked in. We finally got our keys and my room was on the top floor, my colleague in the basement so out of interest we checked them out together, as we ascended the smell of incense burnt away any sense of smell and blurred my vision until we reached what can only be described as the penthouse.... furnished with the contents of a nearby flytipping site and a veiw of a scrapyard.. no wait that's the carpark! I'd become dizzy by now and the intense incense was rotting away my brain matter so let's go to basement and check that out. Good news was the smell had changed, bad news was it was replaced by damp and what can only be described as stale urine.. in the shower... that had fluff in... and little curly black hairs... and some weird milky water in the drain. Again the room was pure decadence filled with the entire back catalogue of 80's argos furniture, even some empty gucci boxes for that special touch of class. Thankfully we got a callout from work and had to leave in a terrible rush, needless to say we are truly gutted not to have stayed in Huddersfields version of faulty towers.. Premier Inn was nice though!

As a short-term stay the hotel sufficed. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was simple to use and refreshing. No breakfast included, but you have a smallnkitchen which includes a microwave and fridge. The only complaint I have is that the batteries in the TV remote needed replacing. The hotel has some very nice touched, including art decor pieces.

I arrived here in desperation in regards to needing a hotel room for the night hoping it’d at least be an acceptable experience. for a starter my reception was a ring door bell and a old fashion telephone sat beside it, upon finally emailing them pictures of my ID I got into a room that looked absolutely nothing compared to the pictures, the signal was dreadful so I could barely even accept a phone call and there was a horrible smell entering the room from some where. There was milk left on the side in the warm room so it’d be off and the door locks felt as flimsy as an A4 piece of paper. We ended up leaving within 15 minutes of being in the room and I asked for a refund and they just hung up on me. Poor customer service, poor rooms would’ve rather have slept in the back seat of my car
