Have been a loyal client at the salon for over a year, unfortunately I had to cancel a recent appointment the day before due to a personal emergency, I left a message the day before to make them aware of this and requested to rebook with them. After not hearing back I called again on the day despite me being busy to apologise and ensure that they got my message, unfortunately I was told by the owner in a rather rude manor that due to me only calling slightly less than 24 hours before I could not rebook with them. This is incredibly unprofessional, especially as a loyal client their lack of understanding for my situation and being dismissed from rebooking is disgusting. I do not feel welcome to return and will be finding a new place to get my hair done. In addition to this my 2 flat mates were also going to book with them from my previous glowing recommendations but I will advise them against this as their attitude towards clients is not respectful. My daughter and I both had our first experience at Karine Jackson Sustainable Hair and it was a wonderful experience. I have a natural curly hair and have had many disastrous hair cuts over the years. Karine reassured me on the telephone when I explained my anxiety. I had a colour consultation prior to the appointment because I am not ready to live with my grey yet. Karine spent time talking about what I wanted to achieve long term with my cut and the best way to maintain it. Ashleigh spent time further to my initial consultation discussing how the balayage and the colour process over time could eventually lead to my hair long term plan of transitioning to grey. Needless to say I love the end results and can hand on heart say it’s the best curly cut and colour I’ve ever had. My daughter wanted her gorgeous straight blonde hair permed and I was very nervous. She did alot of research and found the salon as she wanted a salon that was environmentally friendly and sustainable. Anna was fabulous at her consultation and spoke about what was possible given the length and thickness of her hair. She tested her hair with the perming solution prior at the consultation to see how it would react. She gave my daughter advice on how to get her hair prepared for perming and how to take care of it. A year ago I gave 5 star review but unfortunately this time I need to give one star because they don’t have less than a star to press on !otherwise I would have pressed. I’ve been a client for the salon for the entire year !I was so used to Joshua But this time they changed my hairstylist and the lady completely ruined my curls and my hair !!!!!!! I’ve been with my hair up for the last 4 months. I would never come back to this place EVER. On top of this they say they’re sustainable salon and there is plastic everywhere.
