Been doing Tai Chi for around three years with our tutor Denise. It’s brilliant! As with most things, it’s a LOT harder than it looks but the teachers are great, breaking the movements into simple stages and we don’t move on until the group is happy. There’s a lot of laughing and it really works your legs, core and balance - I noticed a real change (for the worse) during lockdown. If your thinking of giving it a try, go for it with one of the many classes across Merseyside.

I have been attending Tai Chi classes for about 6 years in Rainhill. Denise our instructor is excellent and really knows the form and how to teach it. She is able to teach us in a friendly, supportive and 'step by step' manner. I would highly recommend this Tai Chi school.

I love studying tai chi. I have been attending Kam's school for 4 years now and go to 3 classes each week. It is such an amazing discipline because it looks very graceful when Kam or Laurel demonstrate a move but is surprisingly difficult to copy. That is what makes it so interesting. You focus solely on tai chi while you are there and come away feeling uplifted. Sometimes it seems it will take a long time to learn the sequence of moves but it does eventually start to fall into place. Be patient - Kam certainly is! And enjoy the journey, you will get fitter and your balance will improve.

I am 95 years old. I started tai chi about 6 years ago having been inspired after a visit to Singapore. The group are great, it helps with balance and coordination and is one of the highlights of my week. Yes, there are challenges, but Kam and Laurel are always at hand to give support and encouragement. I've met some lovely friends. Fully recommend for all ages!!

I always wanted to do Tai Chi, so as I’m now retired I’ve got time to try it. My class is in a local community centre in Widnes very friendly and well run by Kam and Laurel can go at my own pace, bad knees but Kam understands that some people do have limitations.and since it started last year have made lots of friends who all encourage each other. I recommend it less stiff now.
