This street car parking bay is very convenient when coming to Metropolitan Police or to the Garden Museum. There is short part that is covered by the rail bridge. It seems to be a bit off the main road and not very safe, but the police building is close by, and during the day there are some people that pass by the area. It is free overnight and charged during the day. Check for the sign before leaving the vehicle.
