I love the selection in Just Williams, and usually have a good experience, but twice now I have had a bad experience with one of the staff. The woman behind the till, on one occasion approached me, and noticing my hands were full, seemed to first imply I was stealing by coming about behind me and asking sharply “can I help you?”. I took this as a one off, but the same woman was rude to me a few weeks later, just recently. Whilst checking out, I asked for an extra paper bag, which one staff member, who was younger, had told me were free to take on a previous occasion. I was buying presents, and needed a spare one for one more child so that they didn’t feel left out. The woman very passive aggressively gave me the third bag and said “Only TWO presents, but THREE bags”, as if I were lying in order to get a free paper bag? Very bizarre. It makes for a negative atmosphere and I don’t like going in when she is there as she always seems accusatory or suspicious, not the atmosphere you want in a toy shop. I understand you may be used to thieving in the toy shop, but the atmosphere is very odd. Also worth noting, once I was in the shop and another woman came in behind me, and commented on how dark it was as the lights didn’t seem to be working. The *same* woman behind the till turned to me and complained that the lady entering was rude for not saying hello, and commenting on the lights. It’s bizarre to be insulting your customers so openly, particularly to other customers!

I can't speak highly enough of the kindness and helpfulness of Laura and Barbara at Just Williams - they were able to order in a specific toy for our daughter's birthday and were really brilliant about keeping us updated on its arrival. They have shown us a real level of care and going above and beyond and we'd recommend Just Williams to everyone. It is a very different and special experience taking a child to choose a toy/crafts from there than it is scrolling through a website page and it is important to keep these precious toy shops going!

Absolutely fantastic service. Barbara went out of her way to find the right water gun for my 4-yer old when his original one didn't work and he wanted the same one as his brother. He was so happy to receive it! So impressed with the effort to make a little boy very happy.
