While Just the Man is highly-skilled and competent, my experience of using him was far from satisfactory. He did some work that took him less than two man days, yet he charged me top-rates for three full days. I believe he finished early on the second day just to make sure he could turn up for the third day so that he could charge for three days, which suited his schedule. In fact, he could easily have completed everything in two days. Even though he charged around £240 a day, he still left behind a bag of rubble that he promised to pick up at a later date. He never did and I had to take it to the tip and pay £3 to dispose of it. He also hacked up some pavers looking for a drain that he couldn't find and made no attempt to repair the damage he did. He did not leave the place tidy and clean. I had to clean up after him. So while he's undoubtedly skilled and capable, overall he made a very poor impression on, leaving me with the feeling that he took me to the cleaners on the price and didn't really care too much about doing that. My feeling is that he has a very inflated opinion of what he's worth. Though I have plenty of work that needs doing, I wouldn't hire him again.
