I contacted Joel as having viewed some of his work online, he looked like the perfect man for our project (and wow, we were not disappointed!) We were just completing a two story extension and commissioned Joel to paint our kitchen, diner, snug, hallway, stairs, downstairs toilet and two of our bedrooms. All of this work was done to a standard I had never seen before and he truly transformed our house into our dream home. Nothing was ever too much for him, from 8pm phone calls about swatches helping me to come up with ideas, through to multiple trips to the Dulux Centre trying to have matched the perfect shade of pink, through to even kindly hanging my artwork when I managed to mess it up, good and proper! During his time here we got talking and Joel informed me of all of his other talents…..carpentry, staircases, panelling (just assume Joel can do pretty much anything, he’s a jack of all trades - master of everything!) This resulted in him going on to build us - built in wardrobes (which he designed, built and painted perfectly to match our current bedroom furniture with additional LED lighting), a made to measure glass staircase, a corner panelling feature in our diner, cupboards to house our boiler and additional storage in our downstairs toilet and a panelling canopy in our nursery. When every individual project was finished the result was always breathtaking, Joel takes more pride in his work than anyone I have ever met before and it has resulted in a one of a kind house that every visitor is blown away by. Joel is a joy to be around and the passion and care he shows is why he fashions such magical creations. Not only that, but due to him truly caring about the final result he often corrected the mistakes of other tradesman to ensure the final product was nothing other than perfect! I cannot recommend Joel enough, he is a true expert in his field, I will never use or recommend any other designer (he is so much more than a decorator!) For the final 6 weeks or so of our project we also had Mike join us, I initially crossed my fingers that Mike took the same level of care as Joel did, but I quickly understood why they get on so well….they’re as big a perfectionsist as each other. Mike brought a lot to the party in terms of ideas and suggestions and even tiled (excellently) part of our downstairs toilet. I can’t wait to have them back for our next project. Thanks again so much Joel and Mike - you are truly one of a kind!
