Lovely, warm room, very clean and spacious. Pillows were a bit lumpy and WiFi wasn't very good. Couldn't access the key box so had to phone someone who was very helpful. Stayed here for 1 night 11th March 2023. Happy to review 5/5 for the following reasons : Easy to find with a free car park some 70 yards away. We accessed the property to the rear using codes provided by email /text. The key was accessed via a box on the wall next to the door. Very straight forward and seen a lot abroad. The room was excellent, large and very clean. The shower provided plenty of hot water. My credit card appeared to have been debited for two nights stay. Having spoken with Danny and Roger the owner, this was quickly rectified, thank you. Appears to have been a mistake on behalf of the booking agent The purpose of our visit was to see our team play at Barnsley. A bus 200 yards down the road took us to the town centre. If you need to eat would highly recommend the Chinese lantern close to the hotel. Wombwell was good for a night out, plenty of music on and a Weatherspoons opposite for breakfast. If in the area again I would be happy to stay here.

Rooms: Really comfy bed. Quirky rooms within an old building. Up to date decor and new heating system. Food & drinks: The hotel is above a lovely bar and restaurant. We have eaten there before when they have served tapas dishes. Also near local pubs.

We were pleased with the room and instructions were good. Room and bathroom was lovely and clean and spacious, didnt need to use heating etc. Only negative was I was needing to use a hairdryer, but I checked on room amenities and it wasn't mentioned so that's fine. Please be aware there are stairs and no lift. We ate at Wetherspoons for breakfast and evening meal which is a short walk from the hotel. Would use again if I am around that way. THANKS

My room is nothing like the others 2 single beds ok bathroom very out dated very noiseyat night as it next to main road and boy racers with there loud exhaust fly by no breakfast have to go to a pub around the corner to get something to eat Walkability: Can walk anywhere in 5 -10 mins very small town
