Judge and Priestley strikes again!! Once again, they have received another service charge bill from Camden council and I have been trying to chase it up from the beginning in order to clear the balance via payment plan (Camden refuse to discuss the file as its been passed to J&P). No matter how many times I call or leave a voicemail, the case handler Emily Hearn just refuses to call back or email me to get this sorted. So now the bill has increased from just over £800 to £1134. The extra costs are all due to the negligence of Judge & Priestley and now I'm having to pay the price! I wish Camden Council would listen when people complain about J&P to them and just stop using them completely!

I was making changes to my will and my solicitor was Tim Goodwin, who drew up my previous will several years ago. He and a colleague of his made two home visits to me at my request. They were both very friendly and Mr. Goodwin was very helpful in explaining things to me. I was pleasantly surprised in that I did not find the cost overly expensive. I knew that I could trust him because we have a freiend in common.

We bought in 2020 and Caroline (now Crocker) was absolutely shocking. Unresponsive, unhelpful, and essential documents we requested then still have not been provided to us (2023). Emails and calls went unacknowledged and unanswered. We even requested to be moved to someone else because of our terrible experience but Judge Priestly refused. Cannot recommend going elsewhere enough, save your sanity.

The story of buying my first flat had a number of interesting side line stories. From the lease extension and buying a share of freehold to a bank that had stringent lending rules. Needless to say it could have been a logistical nightmare due to all the moving parts, but luck was on my side. The protagonist of this story is Rebecca Ward. She works with keen accuracy, persistent attention to detail and her communication skills are impeccable. She performs well under pressure, level headed and calm. Her experience provided a logical point of view on some of the really challenging areas of my transaction. Simply put, Rebecca is an excellent example of how conveyancing should be done. J&P are lucky to have someone so dedicated on the team.
