We only went with JS Law as they were a recommendation. How as first time buyers our experience was shocking, hard to get a hold of as they don't answer calls several email responses are sent as close to 5pm as possible mean if there is a follow up email you have to wait until the next day. 7months to complete a 2 house chain despite there being a work around that could have started 2 months before. However being fair with feed back Meg at JS Law stepping in when she did probably saved the sale if I could rate individuals Meg would get a 5 star however our journey and experience was poor I'd advise staying away from JS Law.

I sold my house and used JS for the conveyancing. I had no problems at all, Kelly Hulley was efficient and responsive and the online portal they use to manage all the documents was slick and effective. In the past I've always thought your solicitor for house transactions should be local to make things easier, I was wrong. Would use again.

Very unprofessional and incompetent. They held £500 of my money in case of any leasehold issues supposedly for one year. After the year was up last June I repeatedly try to contact them by email and telephone to no avail. Last month towards the end of April I finally received an email and last week I received my money with no apology or offer of compensation. Very poor customer service.

Although the purchase went without a hitch we found the lack of response to emails and most of the calls going unanswered to our solicitor quite poor. When we did manage to get a response the solicitor or one of her team were friendly and professional but getting a clear answer wasn't always possible and we kinda had to drag the answers out of them with a "I guess so" often as answer. On the day of exchange we had to chase multiple times for them to complete the transaction and it was past 4pm before it was finally completed. Our purchase was straight forward without a chain, I don't want to know the additional stress with a chain.
