Plan and book tickets in advance if you plan to visit . There are lots of free street events . But for some of the other events you have pay and tickets sell off months in advance. Over all a fun event . Kids will love it

I'm a born & bred York resident & have enjoyed all the previous Yorvik Festivals, so this year I was looking forward to all of Parliament St to be full of Viking tents (prior to coronavirus) with a diverse display of goods etc. Sadly only a small encampment @ one end of Parliament St, the Guildhall does have some children's entertainment. Which was busy when I popped in.
