In one night all stress from life was evaporated here. We sat in the veranda by the fire whilst cooking in the bbq, birds chirping away. Inside for a hot bath and a book with the fire burning away. You normally expect these type of clamping experiences to be a bit shoddy normally; dirty random cutlery, tattered old tables etc, but everything here was ideal. Sharp knives, high quality crockery, constant hot water. We felt completely isolated despite the fact we’re a single mike from Stamford Bridge. Woke up peacefully. King Auberon’s bothy was so awesome inside. Gothic decor really added to the vibe. And Jim was extremely helpful, he showed up as we arrived and gave us all the info we needed and even sorted us out with a comfy sofa. Felt very comfortable knowing he was around. We will definitely be back

If you are wanting 'luxury' glamping then don't come here, the pictures are very misleading. We asked to move tents on arrival because the one we were put in was very dated, the toilet was leaking on the bathroom floor and the place smelt like a sewer. Because it was a self check in there was no one on site apart from a man who lived/worked there. We asked to move tents, we basically arranged this ourselves and the next tent was only marginally better, there was damp on the tent (see pic) the double bed broke in half when laid on and the facilities (2 hob not 4) were a little to be desired. I have tried to get partial or all the holiday refunded as it wasn't what was advertised and was photographed very nicely on the website but the experience overall was very different, I am still waiting a response from this. No fairy trail or Norwood kitchen as these weren't open, this was communicated to us after we booked funnily enough! Avoid if you can.

Arrived bank holiday weekend and there was one member of staff on site, but it was late afternoon... stayed in a woodcutter hut which was ok, but in need of repair. My wife couldn’t get out of the hut due to a dodgy door and the floor of the veranda is very spongy in places due to rot. Messaged and called the site number over three days regarding the ice blocks for the cool box and never received a single reply. Kitchen was clean, and the room was also with fresh feeling clean sheets. The concept is great, and the location fantastic but it’s a bit tired and needs updating. Spent less on cleaner and more up-to-date facilities elsewhere.

We visited today with my 2 little girls and they absolutely loved the fairy trail. The cafe was also top notch.
