This is a medium secure hospital that deals with people who have been sent to the JHC by the courts under the mental health act and by low secure hospitals that feel a patient needs a more secure hospital. This has many different wards dealing with male mental health and have 1 ward that is solely woman based. They also have a more secure unit called Millfields, that deals with men who have a mixed personality and been sent by either the courts, or from prison under section 37/41. Now like anywhere the JHC and especially Millfields come under fire because of something that either a patient or a very select few members of staff have done. However 98% of staff do a wonder job of helping patients move away from their mental health issues. Espeaially mentioned staff are Kumbi, Lanra, Cornieal, will, Dean, to name a few do an absolute wonderful job in the way they apply the work they do dealing with patients who have mental health issues. Keep up the great work you do under some very challenging behaviours.

I know a lot of the nurses here and they're brilliant. However! 5 stars for the nurses who have to work hard everyday.

John Howard Center should be 5 star because it's not a nice place to live in, but the therapy and rehabilitation will be helpful.
